Week 11: Pop Team Progress

Overall the game is getting made. The pace at which this happens is much slower than i expected it to happen (especially from my end). I always seem to underestimate how long it actually takes to 3D model things, especially people and animals which don't seem to be my forte, so the amount of progress for time spent on the project doesn't seem to match up in my head. I'm assuming this just takes some getting used to as well as some more exposure to 3D work and processes from other people as well as myself.

As far as the current week, almost all of the static objects have been finished (except the podium). As the deadline for the game approaches little things we have to do keep popping up unexpectedly like "oh wait we need audience members", so I plan on getting ahead on the necessary items so there is some leftover time for the surprise ones. Specially considering how much of a headache getting the girls to move is going to be.

Overall I think our team works pretty well together. We each do a fair share of work every week, and stay connected over git and slack. Everyone is real nice and helpful.  If anything I think there might be a bit of a gap between the art and the code since we divided it so cleanly, but that does help with efficiency.

I'm looking forward to keep working on this. It feels odd to learn how to animate on a project that is not solely my own since presenting something mediocre for your own project is like well ok i know i tried and this is where I'm at, but if it involves other people suddenly you feel guilty for not knowing how to make things nicer yet. But part of the class is learning how to animate and my teammates are very nice and kind so I'm not too upset about it! I'll keep working!
